Whenever people talk about how huge Forza Horizon’s open worlds are, or how big modern racing games have become, I always think back to being a kid, loading up FUEL, opening the map and being completely blown away by the sheer scale of it! For perspective, Forza Horizon 6 has the biggest and densest map in Horizon history, with fan estimates placing it at roughly 142–145 km². FUEL’s map? A ridiculous 14,400 km², or 5,560 square miles! That makes it roughly 100 times larger, and this game released all the way back in 2009 on the Xbox 360 and PS3! That sense of scale genuinely blew my mind as a kid.
