why Bulk picked ethereum and solana and why It actually makes sense
look, when you're building something in crypto, one of the first real decisions you have to make is: where do you build it?
It sounds simple. It's not.
blockchain choice isn't like picking a color for your website. It shapes everything how fast things move, how much users pay, who even bothers to show up. @bulktrade had to think hard about this. and they landed on two chains: ethereum and solana.
here's my honest take on why that wasn't random.
the ethereum side of things
ethereum is old. not outdated old more like everyone trusts it old. think of it like a bank that's been around for 50 years. you might find newer banks with better apps, but your parents still feel safer putting their money in the old one. that's ethereum.
the serious capital in defi the institutional guys, the bigger funds they hang around ethereum. not because it's perfect (gas fees used to be brutal, we all remember), but because it's battle-tested. the code has been attacked a thousand times and survived. that matters when you're moving real money.
Bulk needed that credibility layer. If you're building a protocol for large-scale trades, you can't be on some chain that no one's heard of. ethereum gives you the audience that actually has the bags to trade seriously.
then there's solana
solana is the opposite vibe entirely. fast. cheap. almost aggressively efficient.
I've used solana apps during peak hours when ethereum was basically unusable for small transactions. the difference is wild. on solana, things just move. transactions confirm before you've finished thinking about them.
for a trading platform, speed isn't a nice-to-have. It's the product. If you're executing a bulk order and the chain lags, you're not just annoyed you're losing money. slippage happens in milliseconds.
solana also has a growing crowd of retail traders and newer defi users who actually want to do stuff without paying $40 in gas for the privilege. Bulk wanted access to that side of the market too.
so why both? why not Just pick one?
honestly? because no single chain does everything.
ethereum brings the trust and the big money. solana brings the speed and the volume. trying to force one chain to do both jobs is like using a hammer to screw in a lightbulb technically possible, but painful.
Bulk's architecture is built around the idea that liquidity shouldn't be stuck behind walls. If a great trade opportunity exists on ethereum, great. If the execution is cleaner on Solana, use that. the platform handles it the user doesn't have to think about it.
that's actually the part I find most interesting. It's not we support two chains. It's we built the plumbing so the chains talk to each other and the trader just trades.
the real reason this matters
here's what I keep coming back to: most protocols that fail don't fail because of bad ideas. they fail because they built on the wrong infrastructure, or built walls between communities that should've been connected.
Bulk basically said why choose a side? the ethereum crowd and the solana crowd both have money to move. both want better execution. neither wants to leave their home chain just to access a decent trading tool.
so instead of making users come to them, Bulk went to where the users already were.
that's not a technical decision. that's a pretty smart human one

This is how you can position yourself on @bulktrade
1) Trade on bulk:
2) Stake $SOL on bulk
3) Hold $USDC on bulk.
To trade:
> Claim Mock USDC , open some positions and start trading.
> If you liquidate, you can get more tokens every 72h.
Stake Solana/ BulkSOL.
> If you have idle $SOL, stake it on bulk, earn yield and Aura.
Hold USDC
> By holding you will earn AURA points every Saturday!
