On Saturday, my mom Nelda Travis passed away after a 17-month battle with mixed acinar-neuroendocrine carcinoma, a rare form of pancreatic cancer. She was 65. She was the most loving & caring person I have ever known, a single mother who sacrificed everything to enrich my life.
