@MarwanK85648908 @Aviation_Intel @notyassine900 it’s not really exporting it, as the SA and QA are slightly different and purposely built for Saudi Arabia and Qatar. however, i do agree with you that we should’ve just kept the MAWS equipped.

Buying F-15EX and not springing for the missile approach warning system is absolutely the dumbest thing. $100M fighter, but let's save a few bucks on a key defensive advantage. You are not always going to get a radar spike from a threat, even at altitude.

@idekatpppp22514 @Aviation_Intel @notyassine900 Exactly, that's the point! Still don't get the reason why they produce and procure it with empty housings while exporting it already equipped! Even the integrated IRST which is very essential nowadays is missing also, unlike the case of SA and QA versions.

@AustinAJoseph76 Any reference for that part that France (backout on TOT for Scorpene deal and fitting AIP on Scorpene submarine) ? In which case/deal specifically ?

France won't sell any technology which will allow it customer to have same control over Rafale that French industry and armed forces have. France does not have any other product that it can sell to other Airforces , French backout on TOT for Scorpene deal and fitting AIP on Scorpene submarine. France and Dassault is a one-pony aircraft country and can't afford to loose what it only has.

The UAE has withdrawn from funding the development of the new Rafale F5 after France refused to transfer advanced technology. The message is clear: Real partnership with genuine technology transfer — or no deal.

@backfin002 @notyassine900 I'm not debating any technical info actually I was just wondering if it's true that the real performance figures are different from the published one, Are you sure about ur source ? Because 1.75m as max speed is totally no sense for me

@MarwanK85648908 @notyassine900 Do you know how empty weight increase of 16.000 lb effects performance and agility ? Or reduction of wing sweep? Or increase of wing aspect ratio, and wing area ? Or deletion of variable air intake ? You MUST know ALL this, and also what engines are used.

The F-22 has incredibly inflated performance data in common literature, with intention to intimidate potential enemy. Its actual max speed is 1,75 Mach, and 1,2 M in dry thrust (not 1,5 M). It is amazing how many disinformation are spread in cheap literature. The light YF-22:

@notyassine900 @NGC_1084 Yes pretty that all SAR-ready platforms pack all of them. I meant jets actually, they mostly lack those systems. They just started to equip new production models like F-35 & F15EX with them.

@MarwanK85648908 @NGC_1084 I think they r packed and have it all, they have the nemesis CM system on almost every platform. These ones doing SaR missions are packed to the teeth with every defensive system, against radar, IR, and UV

@NGC_1084 @notyassine900 US aircrafts don't even have an integrated MAWS, let alone a CIRCM. It's more that the area filmed was clear of any military activity.

@MarwanK85648908 @notyassine900 I presume they have flares and CIRCM (a laser that blinds heatseeking sensor). Also you have to be brave to fire a manpad with US ground attack in the air

@VLS_Appreciator You've got a valid point. And despite the AIM-120D3 being the direct US equivalent to the Meteor, Meteor still retains a propulsion advantage.

@su27theplane @notyassine900 As of 2022 they operated around 70 totally of the SM standard along with 30 unmodernized versions (mostly UB), as of 2026 it's highly predicted the whole fleet is modernized to this standard.

@notyassine900 @DoungaJohn Exactly. They'll prefer to put a 266mm unguided artillery rocket on it instead of those unhealthy PGMs lmao

@MarwanK85648908 @DoungaJohn and probably an external T.Pod to illuminate targets. This configuration is blasphemous in VKS doctrine

@MarwanK85648908 Same thing happened to the SMT variant and SM3 for the old Flankers, only a handful of frames ended up getting the upgrades This MiG-29/35 upgrade will never happen. Maybe export customers will request it and that all.

@notyassine900 @DryvortoyeKralk Consider they're also upgrading Su-27 & Su-30 fleets to SM/3 variants so this may happen with the Su-35 as well. They also tested a Mig-29 variant with AESA and some avionics upgrades including a whole new cockpit, but I agree that some upgrades maybe more intended for export

@DryvortoyeKralk strongly disagree Procurement and modernization in Russia rarely occur as simply as that. Usually, they switch to newer systems, and once adopted, these systems tend to remain unchanged for almost forever. MIG-31BMs and Ks are a rare exception.
