🔴💀The police reapplied for an arrest warrant against Bang PD just 6 days after prosecutors rejected it and asked for more investigation. SK police already got the “NO,” now they’re going for the HUMILIATION route✨️ They’re mad as hell because even K-media spent the whole week pointing out how ridiculous the “destruction of evidence” justification sounds when the investigation has been going on for almost two years. If that were really the concern, they should’ve asked for it at the beginning. At this point, what exactly is left for Bang PD to “destroy”? The investigation arguably shouldn’t even still be open... Anyway, the authorities are being publicly questioned and embarrassed in the media right now — and Bang PD became their scapegoat. But this will hit the court and won't look good AT ALL. The want to make him an example, but they chose a fish too big and a case to weak... "We will continue to strictly deal with crimes that disrupt the capital market."

Police had refiled the warrant request just six days after prosecutors previously returned it for supplementary investigation. Prosecutors said the requested additional investigative steps “had not been fulfilled.” Bang is accused of allegedly misleading investors in 2019 by saying HYBE had no IPO plans, leading them to sell shares to a private equity fund linked to his associates. Authorities allege he later received around ₩190 billion ($137 million) tied to post-IPO profits. The investigation has lasted roughly 1 year and 4 months, with five rounds of questioning and multiple raids, but prosecutors have again declined to pursue detention.
