X Files "Hantavirus" discussion (alien virus discussion)

Genuinely what is America going to do if we have another pandemic? We have the dumbest administration in history with a guy who doesn’t even believe in science running the department of health. They’ve already gutted the CDC and have made it clear they do not take this stuff seriously. This virus is WAY deadlier than Covid. We would have to immediately shut down to contain it and there’s no way the Trump administration would do anything quickly. Last time Trump was spending months calling Covid a hoax while Americans were getting sick and dying. We waited too long to shut down and that resulted in so many deaths. I’m not trying to cause panic but this really could spread quickly. Someone already died after traveling and who knows how many people they were in contact with. Other passengers have gone back home all over the world. They are not going to be able to contain this like they could have if they hadn’t let anyone leave. This whole thing has been handled so poorly and I just hope it doesn’t continue to spread.
