Load reduction has been temporarily suspended until the end of January 2025. During this period, we strongly encourage customers to use electricity sparingly to avoid triggering the need for an emergency reinstatement of load reduction. ^TM

Randburg Outage Update
Date: 03 January 2025
Randburg Substation (Hawken distributor): Tripped due to cable fault. The first port fault and suspected jumper on overhead line.
This outage is affecting power supply to customers in Bromhof, Boskruin, and possible surrounding areas.
No estimated time of restoration (ETR) has been set as yet.
Affected customers will be kept updated on the progress as it continues on site. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.
