@MiniTrueArchive Oh, I'm sure. I remember walking around the city at night (which wasn't too safe) in the late 80s. I lived in DC then, but stayed with a friend in NYC for one summer. Different times...🥲

Now watching: Koyaanisqatsi (1982)

@cherrypeach619 It’s just cool seeing footage of 1980s street life in NY.

@cherrypeach619 Its images, edited artistically, set to a score. Loosely based around an idea, being the definition of the word. A visual tone-poem, kind of thing… falls under experimental films.

This is what internet footage wishes it was.

@cherrypeach619 They remind me a lot of Dviga Vertov’s Man with a Movie Camera (1929), which is an all time classic for me. Very niche, so it’s not a genre that gets brought up a lot. 😆

@cherrypeach619 Original is probably the best. #4 is my personal favorite… more focused war and global chaos & I saw it in the theater when it came out. Cool to put on to have something in the background or during a party.
