A Time to Move: An Open Letter to Hon. Abubakar Yahaya Kusada Honourable Abubakar Yahaya Kusada, Member representing Kankia/Kusada/Ingawa Federal Constituency, this is a moment that demands both courage and clarity. Your record speaks. Over 500 youths placed in federal and state employment, classrooms built, scholarships awarded, interventions delivered across your constituency. These are not campaign slogans. They are lives changed. They are the reason your name is whispered with gratitude in homes you may never visit, and the reason you are rated among the finest legislators in the Northwest. Yet today, so-called stakeholders ask you to step aside through a “consensus” that ignored competence, ignored performance, and ignored the will of the very people you pledged to serve. Let us call it what it is: envy dressed as politics. When a man does in three years what others could not do in twelve, he becomes a mirror that reflects their inadequacy. And some would rather break the mirror than face the reflection. Honourable, for the sake of your constituency, consider decamping to another platform with immediate effect. You made a pledge to support your people. That pledge was not to a party logo or to a room of stakeholders. It was to the farmer in Kankia, the student in Kusada, the widow in Ingawa, the people who love you beyond your imagination. To abandon that pledge because of political maneuvering would be to punish the innocent for the insecurity of the few. Your constituency needs you in 2027, not as a spectator, but as a contender. Do not be afraid of anyone in politics. Fear is the tax that men of goodwill pay to men of small minds. You have walked this path with clean hands and a good heart. You help because it is your nature, not because it is your strategy. Societies are not built by the cunning; they are built by the compassionate. People of your character are not optional in governance, they are essential. Every society cries out for leaders who see public office as public trust. You are that leader. Men like you are needed the most, especially when the night seems darkest. Understand this: the attempt to bring you down was not born of your failure, but of your light. As the saying goes, “A tree with ripe fruit will always attract stones.” They threw stones because you bore fruit. But remember, when God has not brought a man down, no human is strong enough to bring him down. Your rise was not their gift, and your fall will not be their decision. There is an old idiom that fits this moment: “You cannot stop a seed that is determined to grow.” You are that seed, Honourable. You have taken root in the hearts of your people. Consensus cannot uproot you. Envy cannot stop your season. The soil of Kankia, Kusada, and Ingawa has already accepted you, and the harvest belongs to them. So move, Honourable. Move with your head high and your purpose clear. Platforms are many, but destiny is one. The party is a vehicle; the people are the destination. If one vehicle refuses to move, a man on a mission finds another. Do not let them waste your years negotiating for a space you have already earned in the hearts of men. History will not remember those who sat in rooms and traded competence for convenience. History will remember the man who, when told to step aside, stepped forward for his people. The time is now. Idan ba toshewar basira ba ga apcn katsina, how can you drop someone who is beneficial to the people,like @AbuKusada, and replace him with someone who cannot even point to a single person he has helped? Indeed,KIK loss a good representative that will be very difficult to replace

So Dangiwa has not been in good terms with Abu Kusada? Abu Kusada was all over the place selling Dangiwa when he was contesting for governorship in 2023.

What Dikko is doing with Katsina is undesirably troubling, especially at this moment of political uncertainty. It will affect APC at large, pushing for consensus at this moment of charged veins is a terrible way of maintaining party balance among aspirants. He’s paving way for anti-party activities and unnecessary defection. You can’t reserve seats for the children of the elite at the expense of Loyal party members. I don’t understand the decision that informed this skewed approach, whether for better or worse, it is wrong on all fronts. Someone should call him to order before lasting damage occurs to the party.

It isn’t over until it’s truly over. At this stage, we are carefully assessing all of our available options before making a decision.

In Katsina State, it is becoming increasingly clear that political tickets are being reserved for the son and daughter of the elite, while grassroots voices are sidelined. This trend weakens internal party democracy and disconnects leadership from the realities of ordinary people. Politics should not be a family inheritance. It should be about competence, credibility, and genuine service to the people. If the system continues this way, it risks alienating the very citizens whose votes determine the outcome of elections. The time has come to open the space for capable individuals from all backgrounds to participate fairly and represent the people effectively.

They didn't force him out because they are more capable or better than him. They pushed him aside for one reason only: their deep-seated hatred for him. It had nothing to do with merit or competence, just pure animosity

To @dikko_radda You should have known by now that no one in Kankia’s APC chapter, not even Dangiwa, the so-called chairman of the Consensus/Enforcement Committee, can win a single polling unit for you or Tinubu. You need to understand that the people of Kankia are deeply unhappy with this man. There are areas in Kankia where he can not even enter freely, even today, let alone mobilize votes for any candidate. The man got his position by chance, not because the people are pleased with him. Dikko, you should know that 90% of Kankia’s people celebrated his dismissal from his ministerial appointment. I’m saying this because it is the truth, not because I hate or dislike him. The only person who can go anywhere, anytime, throughout Kankia, Kusada, and Ingawa is @AbuKusada. He is the only leader truly connected to his people. Kusada has never spent more than two weeks in Abuja without coming back home to meet his people. Since assuming office as minister, Dangiwa has never once visited Kusada or Ingawa. He has done absolutely nothing for these two local government areas. And now, he has forced the only person who could have actually delivered victory for you out of the contest. Your Excellency, Dikko, look for people who can actually win their polling units and put them in charge of your election in Kankia. I swear to you, if you rely on that man, you will fail, woefully.
