X still the 1st place I hear abt important new medical research. It's just harder to find w new algorithms. Certain toxic ppl who trolled those of us who considered a lab leak of COVID a viable theory have gone to BlueSky. I won't be following them there.

PPl keep asking me to move to Bluesky. I cancelled FB in 2018 after #Cambridgeanalytica. Only have X & Linkd. I prefer hearing all views to being in a bubble. Wld be good 2 see more breaking med research in my feed @elonmusk but much of the content I like is still here on X.

So I am device banned and account banned on the NFG Forums. Why is this? I verified on an airgapped device in a rare instance of internet access to it and was able to view the forum.

And by staying on Twitter you're supporting the guy who's doing all of this damage.

@jeffqchen @fleshribbon Big difference is that X will automatically tell me there are new posts in my stream, but the other place seems to require a refresh to check for new items (I am using the webpage; I refuse to install apps).

Not sure if you’ve noticed but this site has so many bots liking and replying to posts. That means if all of us real ppl left, this will become an AI echo chamber. But it will take a bit of time for Elon to notice😉 How funny would that be, I wonder…🤡🤡🤡

@HackerVilela BSKY is great, it's probably the easiest best option. But also the mastodon-verse has many options. Like, Wordpress can be followed as if it were a mastodon account and it means your content is yours.

@ToddsNerdCave @BandaiNamcoUS I just last week finished RR7 for the first time, and it was glorious. Couldn't beat the last 4 races, I dunno what grinding I need to do or hoops I need to dive through to get a car that'll keep up, but the first 90% of the game? As brilliant as ever.

@ObsoleteSony @Paulusdmc42 It's not the existence of the thing I'm confused by, it's the phrase 'first player'. It's not how most of us understand those words to function. I get the context, I worked in consumer electronics when the first player (the one that records too) came out. I was there. =)

@BrisbaneWestBUG This is a very important distinction. I'm not anti car either, but gosh I miss riding my bike now that I've moved to an area with fewer safe roads.

Raspberry Pi is increasing consumer allocation to try to make them available again, and Pi Zero W are easy to find now. But I won’t be happy until Pi 4B and Pi Zero 2 are available (I couldn’t get these since release over 4 years ago). But it’s also time for a Pi 5 about now…
