Many thanks to @pentictonfire & Penticton Search & Rescue for their quick & kind response yesterday. Despite everything you do to prepare, if you spend a lot of time in the backcountry, sometimes things go wrong & you need help. The crews who came out to assist were top notch.

Thanks. I am well, however, my friend is in hospital with a broken hip awaiting surgery after a fall. She’s in good spirits despite the abrupt end to her climbing season. The response after the accident couldn’t have been better.
