@art_jaguar Nothing about a personal list has to do with what’s good to others. Everything on this grid comes down to what you like most. How else do you determine best protag? For best OST, do you pull out the “song goodness-o-meter”? One of these is literally “biggest personal impact”

@NasuPrime you seem to misunderstand what "favourite" means. it doesnt actually have anything to do with quality. Someones favourite childhood toy can be a fucked up ugly ass bear half torn to shreds- favouritism only applies to what someone likes most- not whether its "good" to others.

Wanna hop on this trend but idk how y’all make these without HEAVILY double dipping. Like what do you mean your fave game isn’t the one with the best story, art style, combat, protagonist, antagonist, soundtrack, or even the biggest personal impact? Why is it even your fave?

@NasuPrime really upsetting seeing the people in the comments who seem to think this list is supposed to be some objective ranking rather than a subjective list of your favorites

@Gwopdouble0 Correct. It won't be a 10/10 in literally everything but I'm saying that I'd imagine it would be in at least one of those. You can acknowledge shortcoming but that still wouldn't be objective.

@NasuPrime Favorite isn’t best. My favorite game is Ocarina of Time, but it shouldn’t be surprising that an almost 30 year old game has been surpassed in many individual areas.

@IvanLau82733994 @RaafiMania Brother I didn’t say a thing about objectivity. The “objective” best is a meaningless statement. Every single entry on that grid is based on personal preference because no one removes themselves from their own ratings to cosplay some hypothetical everyman

@NasuPrime My favorite game barely has a story, protagonist, or antagonist. It's art style isn't anything special, and neither is it's combat most of the time.
It is however a very fun game that I put a lot of hours into on my own and with friends.
It's certainly possible.

@Kenobi2005 Doesn’t have to be every single category, but surely more than one. There’s a difference between a panel of judges and a personal list. Problem with TGA is them treating what’s supposed to be a celebration of the entire industry like the latter

even awards it didn't deserve like best RPG
Just because it's your favorite game doesn't mean it's the best game in every single aspect of it
