The "Outdoor" experience! We weren't allowed inside the pub, but sitting on the steps with a bottle of pop and a bag of crisps—searching for that little blue salt bag—felt like the height of luxury.

Op Banner Roll Of Honour 26th April 1972 we remember one of our own. 24124706 Dvr Laurence Jubb (Titch or Laurie), aged 21, married with twin daughters (born a week after his death), serving with 1 Squadron, Royal Corps of Transport, deployed at Castle Dillon. The circumstances are disputed by locals, but Laurie was an escort passenger in a Royal Engineers Recovery Vehicle when it was stoned by local youths near Drumarg Park Estate in Armagh. The RE driver took avoiding action, but the vehicle overturned, trapping all three soldiers and Titch died of his injuries at the scene. Titch is laid at rest in Bowling Cemetery, Bradford (section 6, Grave 192). He is remembered by his family, friends and many close RCT colleagues, and on the Armed Forces Memorial & ROH, Bradford War Memorial & the Armagh Memorial Wall. He is also remembered by the RASC/ RCT Association on their ROH. Rest in Peace
