Welcome back! Let's have the best year ever, Nelson!

Did someone say free pancakes in the library? Happy to celebrate a successful school year with some freshly made pancakes on the griddle for our students!

Pride Month began yesterday. Check out our library resource display! Pride Month is a time to celebrate the diversity of LGBTQ+ communities, while learning about their history, challenges faced, and progress made.

June is National Indigenous History Month. It is important to take the time to recognize the rich history, heritage, resilience, and diversity of First Nations, Inuit, and Metis Peoples across Canada.

Students and staff got a kick out of our "When We Were 17..." wall of youth in the library. Check out how our school staff looked when they were teens, mullets, perms, and all, as well as their top five music albums. Such a fun activity!

Trivia club in the library's large seminar room today to escape the heat! We have grown!

Happy to welcome two former students, Iman and Olivia, to showcase their Pink Project initiative. They are on a mission to make periods equitable for all by providing free feminine hygiene products in all public buildings. Thanks to our Equity and Well-Being team for organizing.

Got the rest of the paintings up, thanks to our caretaker. Pieces of RBHS here at Nelson. "You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should."

Had a blast in Toronto with 70 Nelson students at the National Women's Show!

Enjoyed watching the Docs for Schools film, Okay! The ASD Band Film with our CPP students today. Such phenomenal musicians showcased and celebrated!

Literature Club discussing some of Rupi Kaur's poetry today. We meet every two weeks on Wednesdays in the library's small seminar room. Book worms unite!
