No it's not the same logic, oh Young Smug One. The United States has existed as a Christian nation for 250 years, and was founded on freedom of religion. Islam has existed for 1,400 years and does not have quite the same track record. Badminton is a sport and boxing is a sport. A judge cannot preside over cases in which I am appearing as a party or counsel while simultaneously suing me in federal court and falsely accusing me of deliberately violating their constitutional rights. That situation destroys any appearance of impartiality. Louisiana law requires recusal, and the integrity of the judiciary depends on enforcing it.
