لا أؤمن بمصطلح "آل البيت" سواء بتصوره الشيعي المقدس أو السني المقدر أو المميز؛ للأسباب التالية: أولاً: لغوياً، كلمة (آل) لا تضاف إلا للأعلام العقلاء (كآل إبراهيم)، وإضافتها لغير العاقل والجمادات (كالبيت) لا تصح في فصيح الكلام. ثانياً: (الآل) هم الأتباع، والبيت له (أهل) وساكنون؛ و"أهل البيت" بنص القرآن الكريم والسنة الصحيحة هن أزواج النبي، أما "آل محمد" فهم أتباعه على دينه. ثالثاً: من آمن من قرابة النبي ﷺ فحكمه حكم الصحابة؛ له ما اكسب وعليه ما اكتسب، دون تمييز. رابعاً: الإسلام دين توحيد وعمل، لا يقر الفضل بالنسب، ولا يمنح قداسة لعرق؛ فالمعيار الإلهي هو العمل لا السلالة. خامساً: التمييز السلالي موروث (فارسي يهودي نصراني) يتصادم مع الفطرة والوحي، وهو "وثنية مقنعة" نسفها القرآن صراحة: ﴿إن أكرمكم عند الله أتقاكم﴾.
