✍️ Some news: I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve been hired as a high school sports reporter for The Arizona Republic @azcentral. I’ll be starting immediately as I finish up my last two classes this semester for my master’s degree in sports journalism at @Cronkite_ASU.

Ran my first ever track meet with @OCTrack_Field and had a lot of fun. I ran a 11.89 in my 100 in lane 1, a 25.12 in my 200 in lane 5, and jumped 15.8 feet in my long jump. @Coach_Trae @CoachPerrone

2 prs today at the D1 state track meet. Went 14.54 in the 110 meter hurdles and took 3rd, in the 300 meter hurdles went 37.63 which is the 17th fastest time in the nation. @aaronpflugrad @Coach_Hoff_NAU @OCTrack_Field @NAU @NAUTrackFieldXC @CoachCole42

Bowen did also at Westview before he took the ACU job. Lots of FB Coaches back in the day also coached Track, maybe not as the Head Track guy but at least as an assistant. The two sports go hand in hand.

Just got off the phone with Perry Football’s Coach Ortiz about taking over the track program, and he told me.. “I needed to do this cause we’re gettin that speed up to score points on offense!! I’m tryin to get my O in the endzone 5 or 6 times every Friday night!!”
