So now Democrats are more of an enemy than Russia or China. The evil that permeates trumps soul grows and grows. Every Christian leader that does not speak up is complicit.

**Approximately 68% (based on March 1975 Current Population Survey data; the direct historical counterpart to today’s figures).**2136 This comes from the U.S. Census Bureau’s *Marital Status and Living Arrangements: March 1975* report (Series P-20, No. 287) and the related *A Statistical Portrait of Women in the United States* (P-23, No. 58), which contain the detailed age-and-sex marital status tables (equivalent to today’s Table A1). “Now married” here includes both spouse present and spouse absent (the standard definition used then and now; separated individuals are counted as married). Key breakdowns for women (percent “now married”): - Ages 20–24: ~57% (40.3% never married, plus small shares divorced/widowed) - Ages 25–34: ~82% - Ages 35–44: ~83% These are weighted by the actual population in each subgroup (larger baby-boom cohorts in the younger groups pull the average down slightly from the prime-age rates). The 18–19 group (lower marriage rates, ~25–30% now married) is included in the overall weighting for the strict 18–44 range, yielding ~68%.35 This matches the era’s context: the median age at first marriage for women was 21.1 years (vs. 28.4 today), and never-married shares were far lower in prime marrying ages. The figure was already declining from even higher levels in the 1950s–1960s but remained dramatically above modern rates. Later reports (e.g., 1978/1980 updates) and historical summaries confirm the same pattern; marriage rates and prevalence dropped steadily afterward due to delayed marriage, rising education/employment for women, and cultural shifts. Exact 1975 age-by-sex tables are in the P-20 No. 287 PDF (Tables 1 and A); no newer releases alter the historical numbers. The drop to today’s ~41% reflects a clear, decades-long trend.

**Approximately 41% (based on the latest detailed data from 2023; trends have been gradual, so similar as of 2025/early 2026).**1260 This comes from the U.S. Census Bureau’s Current Population Survey (CPS) in the *America’s Families and Living Arrangements* tables (specifically Table A1 for 2023, the most recent with detailed age-and-sex breakdowns by marital status). “Married” here refers to “now married” (primarily spouse present, as spouse-absent cases are a very small share in these age groups). Key breakdowns for women (percent “now married”): - Ages 15–24: 5.4% - Ages 25–34: 42.7% - Ages 35–44: 62.7% These are weighted by population size in each group. The 15–24 group includes ages 15–17 (who are almost never married), so adjusting to strictly ages 18–44 raises the overall figure slightly from a raw 15–44 average. The result is ~41%.60 This aligns with related sources: - Aspen Economic Strategy Group analysis of 2023 Census data showed 51.4% of women ages 18–40 were *unpartnered* (neither married nor cohabiting), implying ~48.6% partnered. With cohabitation around 7–10% in this age range, the married share falls in the 38–42% range—consistent with the CPS figure.50 - Broader trends (Pew Research, Census historical tables) show the share of adults who are married has been stable or slightly up overall (~51% of all adults in 2023), but lower and declining modestly among younger adults due to later marriage (median age at first marriage for women was 28.4 in 2025).311 Newer 2024–2025 CPS/ACS releases update overall or household-level figures but do not yet provide finer age-by-sex marital status tables beyond the 2023 detail. Marriage rates change slowly, so 41% remains the best current estimate for women ages 18–44. For context, this is significantly lower than in past decades (e.g., over 60% in the 1980s–1990s for similar ages). Exact figures can vary slightly by data source (CPS vs. ACS) or definition (e.g., including separated), but 41% is the most accurate from official detailed tabulations.

No, sorry, not one of our infamous Spring Break posts. Disappointing, we know. But stick with us… this one matters. Apparently, these bargain-bin criminals are still out here trying their hand at improv, calling folks and pretending to be deputies. Their script goes something like this: “You’ve got a warrant, but hey… we’ll let it slide if you just pay us.” We're paraphrasing a little here, but you get the idea. Are the @WCSOFL deputies they mention real? Yes. Is this how they do business? No. Let us be crystal clear, we will never call you and ask for money in lieu of an arrest warrant. Not with a gift card. Not with Venmo. Not with Bitcoin. And although we do love a good Amazon purchase, not Amazon gift cards either. In fact, we won’t call you at all. If you’ve got a warrant, we’ll handle that the classy way… by showing up when you least expect it. So if you get one of these calls, hang up. Or you can mess with them a little. They deserve it. If you’re unsure, give us a call directly. (850) 892-8111 Stay sharp, Walton County.

100 GRAMS OF METH, FENTANYL, GUN FOUND FOLLOWING TRAFFIC STOP; TWO ARRESTED WALTON COUNTY, Fla— A man and woman were arrested early Thursday after attempting to flee from deputies during a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 90 in DeFuniak Springs. Deputies recovered more than 100 grams of methamphetamine, fentanyl, prescription narcotics, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm from the vehicle. At 5 am, a @WCSOFL deputy tried to stop a black Volkswagen sedan near Highway 90 and Cottonwood Boulevard after noticing a taillight out on the vehicle. The driver, later identified as Fabian Joseph Rutherford, 35, accelerated rapidly, reaching speeds of up to 90 miles per hour before losing control of the vehicle and spinning into the roadway. Deputies used a controlled stopping technique to prevent the car from taking off again and endangering other drivers. Rutherford jumped through the driver’s side window and tried to run, but when he saw deputies closing in, he quickly got onto his stomach and surrendered about 10 feet from the vehicle. A syringe was found in his pocket. The passenger, Jada Jay Urich, 19, also attempted to flee but was apprehended by deputies. She also had a needle in her pocket. A search of the car revealed 116.2 grams of methamphetamine, 3.9 grams of fentanyl, a loaded handgun, a black magnetic container with narcotics residue, multiple clear plastic bags and other paraphernalia, eight Buprenorphine/Naloxone patches and two Suboxone tablets. While being booked into the Walton County Jail, Urich was found to have methamphetamine hidden in her underwear. Rutherford has an extensive criminal history spanning multiple Florida panhandle counties, which led to him serving more than 11 years in the @FL_Corrections over four separate sentences. These include a nearly four‑month incarceration in 2008; a lengthy imprisonment from 2009 to 2014 lasting four years and seven months; another extended period from 2017 to 2021 totaling just over four years; and the latest sentence from 2023, where he was released in November 2025. He is now charged with fleeing and eluding, reckless driving, obstruction without violence, trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a vehicle with a suspended license, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and commission of a felony with a weapon. Jada Jay Urich is charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of fentanyl, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstruction without violence, smuggling contraband into a detention facility, and commission of a felony with a weapon. Both were transported and booked into the Walton County Jail, where they await first appearance.
