I agree with you Rev but the problem is, in December 2023, Parliament’s committee which you are currently a ranking member on in their report to Parliament said they were told Afari Hospital had been COMPLETED and will be operationalized in March 2024

On Afari Military Hospital, NDC presented this budget in 2025 and indicated they inherited the project at 98% in Jan 2025. All records at Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Defence indicated $500,000 as the only outstanding payment due the contractor as at Jan 2025. NDC since Jan 2025, failed to complete the 2% for commissioning, but rather fraudulently indicated a demand of $85million payment before completing the 2% left for commissioning. Claiming $85million for just 2% completion of a project which original sum is $180m is most unconscionable. We have exposed this fraud and dangerous create, loot and share. Definitely many will be offended by this blocked thievery. Don’t forget NPP secured $180m and initiated this project in 2008 originally earmarked for Sofoline, Kumasi. NDC took over and delayed the project with attempted relocations until they finally settled on Afari. After 8 years of delay, NPP inherited the project at 40%. For the record!
