@MegaMogwai If Called Shot is out, I don’t think Draven’s errata is needed. On the other side, a lot of Aurora friendly units are going to release which makes me feel Aurora needs the boot.

So, to add more to the ban talk, here's what I think fixes the meta without going overboard. Bans: Called Shot, Stellacorn. Perhaps a Draven errata that limits him to once per turn.

@demonath96 @krowzTCG Helps filter through your hand. Not all cards on the deck are good for all MUs, so you can start discarding whatever is bad for the MU in hopes to draw the cards you actually need.

Is a hard thing to go by doing since banning expensive cards would break players instantly. Not that any expensive cards are on the possible chopping block but as a precedent. I do agree meta should be able to fix itself in future expansions but here is my take… purple is playing a whole different game. In a game where we can’t even shuffle the deck (w/o specific interactions like Aurora recycling shuffle your whole deck), Purple can lap around there deck at least once in a game (the detonate list is kinda filthy).

My personal opinion is that nothing should be banned yet. Called Shot is a powerful card and it’s enabling multiple purple decks, but banning a single card probably doesn’t solve the larger issue. Purple is the best color right now, and there will almost always be a “best color.” I’d rather see a few more sets released and reevaluate the format then. Banning cards early usually does more harm than good. 1) Future sets naturally fix problems. Look at Kai’sa from set one to set two. 2) Banning creates instability and player distrust. 3) It can miss the real problem. Sometimes the obvious card isn’t the real issue and we are back here again. 4) You can reduce diversity by accident. Especially if one card enables multiple different purple decks (Called Shot)
