A real honour to be present for the legendary @chris_kammy MBE being awarded the Freedom of the City of Wakefield. Wakefield is hugely proud that Chris has made our wonderful city his home and contributed so much to our area over the years. 👏 ⚽️

This year residents will be able to vote for 2 Cllr seats for the Normanton Ward in the local elections. I am delighted that @DanielWilton6 has been chosen to stand alongside me as the other Labour candidate. Together we will be a united and strong voice for all in our community.

Congratulations to those getting their A-Level results today. I remember opening that envelope. My results allowed me to become the first in my family to go to university. That's why I will shatter the class ceiling, so that all young people have the opportunities they deserve.

I was delighted to move the @uklabour Group motion opposing rail ticket office closures at @MyWakefield Council today. We opposed a Tory motion attacking union colleagues and were delighted when TSSA steward Nicola Jukes was able to join us after Council.
