#proud #inspirational #Shoutout to my 12 year old daughter, she’s been playing football since the age of 5 as a goalkeeper, she started off in Tredegar Girls football team which her dad coached , she’s also played for a few teams including Newport County , Caerphilly County and Gwent performance . She then got recognised and asked to play for FAW regionals. During this time we found out she has scoliosis, curve to her spine, she still continued to play whilst waiting for major spinal fusion op , which happened 2 and half years later, she’s had a gap year and continued to push and regain her fitness throughout recovery , FAW decided to take her on through the Welsh physios and now she’s back with girls , and she started diving again. Her New Year’s resolution this year is to gain her first Welsh cap, we are so so proud. ❤️

You don’t need to have been a former pro to be a great coach. Being able to demo a 40 yard driven pass is great, but it's meaningless if you can't do things like communicate well, connect with people, inspire people, and create a positive environment. It looks great though!

So my 16 Yr old reffed his first game with offside rules at the weekend. Really proud of him. More proud though of how he drowned out some of the nonsense that was being said. I had to remind two parents he is 16 Yrs old and he's learning a very difficult trade. And remind them of their language including a comment in his ear shot that the referee is a fu%#*&g disgrace! This was an under 11 game No wonder young lads and lasses find it harder and harder. However I'm very proud of him today he was strong and laughed it off.
