The #ActiveShooter training scenario: Deputies were tasked to stop the threat to prevent loss of life. Paint-rounds were used for realism. Thanks to @SDMLASD training staff and the #LASD #SanDimas @LasdExplorers( who role-played as students) for making us better responders!

As our community rallies behind the Los Angeles Dodgers in this year’s World Series against the Toronto Blue Jays, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reminds all fans to celebrate responsibly. Keep celebrations friendly and avoid confrontations or unsafe crowd behavior. · Follow all laws and safety regulations. Deputies will be actively patrolling to ensure a safe environment for all fans. Additional law enforcement resources will be deployed to address unlawful activities. · Report suspicious or unsafe activity. If you see something, say something. Call 9-1-1 for emergencies or contact your local Sheriff’s station for non-emergencies. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, in collaboration with the Los Angeles Police Department, the California Highway Patrol, and police chiefs from surrounding jurisdictions, are working closely to ensure public safety and prepare for any potential unruly celebrations. Today, #PicoRivera deputies conducted a targeted outreach and trespassing operation in the San Gabriel Riverbed area to offer services and support while also addressing concerns from residents and businesses re: encampments, debris, and public safety hazards in prohibited areas

Today, we were welcomed by the @piopicowomansclub, where Captain Jose Hernandez introduced himself and discussed crime trends. Thank you for providing an opportunity to answer tough questions to be transparent in the ongoing quest for improved community engagement.

We've been "flushed" with questions about the theft of this porta-potty! The suspect has been on the “run”, with this blue porta potty worth $3k since Sept 14. If you know this guy, his pickup, or know where the potty was "dumped," please give us a call (potato pics included)

*Update Suspect Arrested* On August 28 at approximately 6 pm, Pico Rivera Deputies stopped 20 year old Andres Chavez on the 9500 blk of Whittier Blvd in Pico Rivera. He was arrested without incident and booked at PRV station for 187(a) PC and held on a 2 million dollar bail.
