This is his last message, and perhaps his final words. Be his voice before it is too late. “Hello and greetings to my dear compatriots and my proud Kurdish fellow speakers. I am Naser Bakrzadeh. You are hearing my voice from Urmia Central Prison. This may be my last voice. I am the son of Molla Mansour. I am 26 years old and have two younger sisters. I was arrested at the age of 23, at a time when I was full of hopes and a passion for life. From the very first day of my arrest until today, my father and mother have died and come back to life every single day. The sorrow of separation has weighed heavily on their shoulders. In the prime of their lives, they have grown old and broken. They were once happy and dreamed of seeing their only son in a groom’s suit. A few days before my arrest, we were supposed to go ask for a girl’s hand in marriage. Now, that girl has been waiting for me for four years. Just a few hours ago, I received the news that my execution order has been upheld.
