Mọ́ín-mọ́ín is Mọ́ín-mọ́ín, not bean pudding.
Òjòjọ́ is Òjòjọ́, not water yam fritters or water yam cakes.
Gbẹ̀gìrì is Gbẹ̀gìrì, not bean purée soup.
Ẹ̀bà is Ẹ̀bà, not cassava flour dough.
Àmàlà is Àmàlà, not dark yam dough or yam flour swallow.
I am of the opinion that changing our Yorùbá food names to English will make them lose their originality.
