One source who worked with Michael Malone for long time in Denver to @TheFieldOf68: “His work ethic is extremely maniacal. He’s a tough New Yorker who is going to go out, fight and not take shit from anyone.” My guess is those words are music to UNC fans ears after Hubert tenure.

Mike Malone should’ve never been fired by the Nuggets first all of. Secondly.. you had ALOT of nba minds like Carmelo Anthony who think SO HIGHLY of Mike Malone they think he should’ve taken over for Spurs!

Lot of people in shock about #UNC hiring Michael Malone.
Mostly fans caught off guard. Former players LOVE the hire.
He can coach, he’s energetic, he loves Carolina, he’s won at the highest level.
The only question is whether he can land talent. The portal will be telling.
