Unfortunately for the rest of the NFC North, the Minnesota Vikings might be better off drafting without a general manager.
Brian Flores makes intriguing renovations to the front seven with the first three picks (DT Caleb Banks, LB Jake Golday, and NT Domonique Orange) before adding safety Jakobe Thomas.
They also grabbed OT Caleb Tiernan in the third, who comfortably won’t be forced to step-in right away.
@danom220_dan@ThePhillyPod Aging and he will be 29 before season starts. Youre generally slow and unresponsive with low comprehension. Maybe take a seat and let the adults talk here
Jonathan Greenard on being traded to Eagles: “I want to have some hardware on my finger. When my agent said the deal was going through, I hopped on that plane as fast as I could.”
Says he wants to be one of the great vets who played in Philly like Brandon Graham and Chris Long.
@danom220_dan@ThePhillyPod Nah. Im correct. Philly fans are low character and hes a good guy who's production has dropped and got top dollar. Take a seat behave like an adult and see if it sticks
@Perplexer329@ThePhillyPod I don’t care about your opinion of emotional connection.
You literally said he was aged. He’s 28 😂
Then follow up with “Everything is said is true” (but he’s 28).
The go on to share your unsolicited opinions and feelings.
I DON’T CARE. Pipe down 🤫
@danom220_dan@ThePhillyPod Everything is said is true. I loved him as a player and a character. Character is not a trait that people from Philly look for I get it. Hope he does well.
@danom220_dan@ThePhillyPod 28 who had a 3rd of the production of the previous season and was on injured reserve to end the season. I love this player and his character
Hey, maybe they didn't draft specific players that I liked the first two days of the #NFLDraft, but it's clear Brian Flores (and everybody else riding shotgun in the #Vikings draft room) has a plan.
So I'm just going to lie down in the trunk and STFU today. #Skol
@BearsBytes2026@sportsmockery We took the best d tackle in the draft vs the second best safety. I liked him for sure but the upside on our guy is too good to pass on
@Zimmersbadeye@HitmanCapone@SeanBormanNFL I’m not saying I love the move but it was a bad situation for the Vikings cap wise, a really poor time for Greenard to take that stance. The reality is Turner played well enough to split time with Greenard and if you give him tha extension and Turner balls out what was the point
On the Jonathan Greenard trade…
• Never want to trade good players UNLESS there’s a plan
• Succession plan WAS in place
• Dallas Turner ready to start after a big Year-2 jump (8.0 sacks, 4 FFs)
• Greenard wanted a raise/extension ($25M/yr) with 2 years left
• Vikings clear ~$12.25M in ’26 cap space and $22.3M in ’27
• Added two 3rd-rounders ('26 & '27) to refill the cupboard
• Allows Flores to lean into a younger, high-upside edge rotation
Tough to see a talent like Greenard go, but moving on from a guy wanting $25M/year when you have a 1st-round stud waiting is just sound business
@Dust_Vikings In a vacuum he is better than 2 thirds.
If you wanna build a roster, you save the cash, get 2 bites at the apple and give the opportunity to the 23 year old you heavily invested in.
