Sorry, “Home Improvement” fans. A reboot of the massively popular sitcom is not happening. Sources tell Variety there have been discussions over the years to get the Taylor family back together again. But there have been stumbling blocks to securing participation from the three Taylor boys: the eldest son Brad (Zachary Ty Bryan), middle son Randy (Jonathan Taylor Thomas), and youngest son Mark (Taran Noah Smith). Bryan, who is now 44, is currently serving a 16-month sentence in a California jail stemming from a 2024 DUI arrest. Bryan has been arrested on multiple DUI and domestic violence charges in the past several years. In addition, an Oregon judge recently sentenced Bryan to 19 months behind bars in that state due to violating his probation on a 2023 domestic violence conviction. Meanwhile, Bryan’s onscreen brothers are no longer acting and haven’t been onscreen for many years. @PoliteButFirm The study itself is fine, but my goal with studies isn't just to copy an image. It's to create a repeatable process, which I can apply to my own work. Here I just couldn't fully understand the more subtle value and hue changes, so any attempt to reproduce the lighting looked off.

this study sorta kicked my ass... I was able to capture the lighting the way I wanted at the end, but I wasn't really able to boil it down into something that's reproducible

@PoliteButFirm No worries. The shadows being lighter is actually intentional in this case. The original image has very crushed blacks, which is just a natural byproduct of editing and the limitations of cameras, so I wanted to compensate a bit for that. Lets me add more detail and whatnot.
