1/ In an ideal musical environment (nurture), youthful songwriters would NATURALLY grow up into legitimate composers. They're now stunted by unnatural emphasis on commercial "songs" to the exclusion of other musical forms and genres. #classicalmusic

To train AI to "create" professional music pieces, start by enrolling the thing in an undergraduate music course: harmony, counterpoint, sight-singing, music history, and a gob of music listening, ear-training, and analysis. Make it suffer like a human. 😁

What are "related keys"? A group of key signatures with tonics that share the same diatonic scale. To start with, C, d, e, F, G, and a (case-sensitive) are pretty closely related keys, having no more than one or two accidentals of separation.

One thing about orchestral suites (original series) and sonata forms (next-generation) is that all movements of a suite share the same principle tonic (parallel modes not withstanding). Sonata movement tonics vary (i.e., special harmonic FX). 🎹 #filmmusic
