You need a cash flow business.
I own stakes in companies that are worth billions but I can’t pay for a private jet with equity.
Net worth is irrelevant for day to day activities.
What is your liquid net worth? I don’t care if you have $100M in equity if you have a $200k cheque still bounce.
Cash flow biz solves this problem.

"Watching what Justin Bieber went through ... it's not comparative, but I can only understand the stress I've gone through over the last couple of years to then times it by 1,000 for what he went through. I have even more of a respect." - @mattrife

@ThisIsTheR @BrianZisook They got rid of Levels (self distro) about 18 months ago - so the self distribution side of the ecosystem could technically do with it - that might also bring them from 3rd place to 2nd also. Probably go under ADA like CD Baby is now under Virgin.
English

@BrianZisook Distrokid is up for sale
Wouldn’t be surprised if WMG tried to buy that lol
All them dudes are the old CDBaby folks
Great company but they have a lot of flaws in their system as far as developer side. Some have been fixed but still some minor shit hasn’t.

Major market share is decreasing. Indie market share is increasing. In response, majors began purchasing distributors such as Orchard, AWAL, and Ingrooves (Virgin). This allows them to sign artists to smaller deals, watch the data, and upstream the “winners” to frontline labels.
Freyy@Freyy_is
major labels are suddenly very interested in distribution for independent artists and i wonder what could have possibly motivated that shift.
English

@Freyy_is Just Rocnation switching they model - they are very influential on the major side of the industry. Plus Distro been going on years just silently.

Been saying this since 2019 finally good to see it come mainstream and mainstream artists adopting. All local stars should be doing this !

Your fans would pay $10, $20, $50, $100+ to hear your album a week early. Let them.

"Music or silence while playing? 🤔 The eternal debate! For some, belting out tunes is the key to unlocking their gaming mojo 🔥. It pumps up the adrenaline, gets those endorphins going, and makes the experience even more epic! 🎧 For others, silence is golden – letting them fully immerse in the game's soundscape, pinpoint every enemy footstep, and react with lightning-fast reflexes 💥.
Where do you stand? Are you a music gamer, silence gamer, or somewhere in between? Do you blast your fave tracks or let the game's score set the tone? Maybe you like a mix of both – jammin' to your own beats during chill games and switching to silence for intense moments? 🎮

GM ☀️
Sound shouldn’t be static.
It should move with you.
From menus to moments.
From idle screens to high-stakes plays.
Sound isn’t background — it’s guidance, emotion, and flow.
When audio adapts to your actions, it stops being noise and starts becoming presence.
It reacts. It follows. It evolves.
Just like you do.
The future of sound is dynamic.
Personal.
In motion.
GM to interactive audio. 🎧✨

Games outperform social media for attention depth—and it’s not even close.
On social platforms, attention is fragmented. You scroll, like, swipe, repeat. The average post gets seconds. Sometimes less. Even “viral” moments fade fast because the environment is designed for constant interruption.
Games are the opposite.
When someone loads into a game, they’re not multitasking. They’re committing. Minutes turn into hours. Emotions build. Decisions matter. Progress is earned. That’s deep attention—the kind brands, artists, and creators keep chasing but rarely get on feeds.
This is why games create stronger memories than timelines. You don’t just see content—you live inside it. Music isn’t background noise, it’s part of the experience. Soundtracks loop while players focus. Characters, worlds, and mechanics wire themselves into memory because attention never fully breaks.
Social media is optimized for reach.
Games are optimized for immersion.
That difference changes everything.
For artists, games aren’t just another promo channel—they’re an environment where listeners don’t skip. For brands, they’re not ads—they’re experiences. For communities, they’re not audiences—they’re participants.
If you want shallow visibility, chase impressions.
If you want lasting impact, build inside moments that demand focus.
Attention is the new currency.
Depth is the multiplier.
Games win because they don’t fight for attention—
they hold it.

Games don’t need more ads — they need better audio.
Players don’t remember banners.
They remember moments.
The tension before a boss fight.
The silence right before impact.
The melody that plays when you finally win.
Audio doesn’t interrupt gameplay—it is gameplay. It guides emotion, builds immersion, and creates identity without pulling players out of the experience. While ads fight for attention, sound earns it naturally.
The smartest games won’t shout louder.
They’ll sound smarter.
Because when audio is designed with intent, it doesn’t feel like marketing. It feels like magic.
