Blaming #NATO will not change the embarrassment and failure of the campaign. #NATO avoided the #israel quagmire.

@TheEconomist #israel will act unilaterally from here on out and #iran will use the SoH to drive a wedge between them and the U.S.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief when Donald Trump retreated from his harrowing threat to wipe out Iranian civilisation. But relief soon turned back to dread. Aside from America, no one immediately ceased fire economist.com/briefing/2026/…

The most shocking side effect of the #war with #Iran is that Iran has discovered how much power they actually have in controlling the #strait of #hormuz. They will use it to drive a wedge between the U.S. and #israel.

One month after starting the war in Iran, this is the statement of the President of the United States on Easter Sunday. These are the ravings of a dangerous and mentally unbalanced individual. Congress has got to act NOW. End this war.

Donald Trump is, without a doubt, the meanest, nastiest, most uncivilized president in American history. Even. on Easter Sunday, he has absolutely, not an ounce of decency or decorum in him whatsoever. Yet, millions of people voted for him. What the hell does that say about them?

@RichardHaass NATO has demonstrated unprecedented resolve when dealing with the U.S. not allowing themselves to get sucked into this conflict may be the best way they can help it come to a quicker close.

Pres Trump faces a choice: either escalation (ground troops or wider target set) or negotiation. it is unclear what the former will accomplish but it risks near certain retaliation against Iran's neighbors. note: unhinged posts do not offer a way out. open.substack.com/pub/richardhaa…

To our Christian friends in Israel, the United States and around the world, we wish you a blessed and joyful Easter. Christians are persecuted across the Middle East, in Syria, Lebanon, Nigeria, Turkey and beyond. But in our region, Israel alone protects our Christian community which is growing and prospering. In this land where the story began, as missiles are fired at our capital, the holy city of Jerusalem, and as the US and Israel stand firm against the Iranian regime and its terror proxies, we continue to steadfastly protect the freedom of worship for all faiths, especially at this sacred time. Even under fire, our commitment is unwavering: to defend life, to safeguard liberty, and to ensure that every believer can pray in peace. May the message of renewal, hope, and faith shine brightly in your homes and hearts. Happy Easter.

@ImBreckWorsham The country voted against more war bc we’re sick of cultural clashes that go nowhere and lead only to death. We instead wanted that commitment made to our domestic matters, such as grocery, pharmaceutical, and real estate costs. But no, we gotta protect pedophiles and distract.

Just a reminder. We deployed more than 500K troops to Vietnam. 58,220 American troops were killed in action. It lasted 8 years. And we lost. The Iraq War lasted for 8 years, 8 months, and 28 days. U.S. troop deployments to Iraq totaled 171,000. Over 7,000 U.S. service members died. We withdrew. I did not vote for more war.

@ACTBrigitte Joe Biden didn’t because he actually considered cost, global impact, middle eastern and Persian culture, and the decades of war that Americans stand vehemently against. The success was not having war in the first place.

Let's be VERY clear about something: if Joe Biden had led a military operation THIS successful in Iran the way President Trump has, the mainstream media would be kissing the ground he walked on. It doesn't matter how great a job President Trump does, the media will always lie.

@mattvanswol First, you can adjust your algorithm. Second, you can attempt to hear out why people are so angry. Me, I wish out tax dollars were not spent on binning a girls school and killing 100 children. But I can go on forever about why I’m unhappy with how our government functions.

@SaltyGoat17 We should not brushing the military to make money; that is not a part of the social contract established by the constitution and not why people serve their country. This is a disgusting idea and would be a misuse of American lives.

“Instead of Iran charging $2M/vessel going through the Strait, the U.S. will charge a $2M escort fee for every vessel, which is about $9B a month or $100B in revenue.” “We will waive that fee for any country that participates in the coalition to open up the Strait.” BRILLIANT!!
