Show appreciation for the opportunity Thank them for their time and consideration. Professionalism is always remembered. 2. Reference something specific from the conversation A project, a value, or a topic you discussed. This shows genuine interest, not desperation. 3. Keep the door intentionally open Hiring needs change all the time. When they do, you want to be the candidate they remember. Most people ghost after rejection. The ones who don't? They stand out. Sometimes the follow-up after a "no" is what leads to the real opportunity later on.

Do you remember the first time you listened to Romeo and Juliet by Dire Straits? The song was written by Dire Straits frontman Mark Knopfler and inspired by his broken romance with Holly Vincent, leader of the band Holly And The Italians. Some of the lyrics indicate that Knopfler felt she used him to boost her career: "How can you look at me as if I was just another one of your deals." The line, "Now you just say, oh Romeo, yeah, you know I used to have a scene withhim," came from an interview where Holly Vincent was quoted as saying: "What happened was that I had a scene with Mark Knopfler and it got to the point where he couldn't handle it and we split up." The lyrics of the song describe the experience of the two lovers of the title, hinting at a situation that saw the "Juliet" figure abandon her "Romeo" after finding fame and moving on from the rough neighborhood where they first encountered each other. @LordSnow @haddypdaddy Jon was never supposed to be capable of murder. The killing of Daenerys was totally out of character. Shocking

@haddypdaddy I have to disagree to some point. The pacing was the problem. I have no issue with the story. Daenerys burning KL, Bran becoming King and Jon being sent to the NW is all good for me. But the pacing felt rushed and the ending just added more frustration.

@westerosies If GRR Martin ever published the remaining books I hope someone will have another go at it. Could be a story as eternal as LOTR. Season 8 was unwatchable drivel.
