"he/she needs it" balancing rationales are a disease, typified by stuff like S1 DJ heat smash. full screen semi-homing HS-> gone -> bottom tier. so should he have kept it? no! because it was dumb and you shouldn't want your character to be balanced around junk like this.

@Sh4kyyy I agree, at least on the balance front I do have a bit more faith in the "incremental patching" approach that the team has taken, hopefully it doesn't stop as soon as TWT begins again, it would be nice to see things reviewed and changed throughout the season.

@PunLife_ Great to see, still lots of work left. Mainly reintroduction of character identity (strengths/weaknesses). That stuff is not as prevelant as I would like. However with the heat system, it will be a challenge

That "etc." is really hitting like crack cocaine right now man. Man I'm so excited to see this in action

@mind_hunt3r Yeah I was expecting some very small but good changes and this genuinely caught me by surprise, I was so happy when I saw this once I woke up

@PunLife_ 100% who expected the etc. patch to be better than s3 XDDD

@wheredapumpat I think it might be more, but that remains to be seen really. Heat is the zone where the most complaints happen within, ensuring that players leave it sooner and the rewards within it are worse will shift the way we use it a lot. Individual character balance next hopefully

@PunLife_ I am not. The game is still bad, it's like a 15% fix if we are super generous

@philfres I'm hoping they add etc. to the May patch announcement as well man

@PunLife_ I had a good gut feeling about this mid april patch I was an "etc" believer!

I'm also really hoping this direction persists in May and further, especially with some characters that maybe got off with a slap on the wrist.

これ大事なのは自分のキャラ目線で見るんじゃなくて全部を見た結果で考える事っすね。 シンプルに調整あんま入ってないキャラは激強で需要技弱体化入ったキャラは相当きついって感じですね。 とりあえずドラは肩脱臼したっぽいんでワンツースリー打っときます

It seems the beta feeling may be wearing off something I’d like to see come to this game is a bunch of fresh preset for players to establish their brand/presence when competing, you’ll be surprised how cool it was to not only represent a unique playstyle but also drip association

This was the first thing I saw when I woke up, had to pinch myself and rub my eyes to make sure it's not a dream man Really good to see this, I'm so excited for the May patch now 🙏
