Not many know, Kelly Donovan (the twin brother of Nicholas Brandon) appeared as Nicholas’ body double in The Replacements, episode three of season five of the TV series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In the episode, Xander Harris was split into two characters, one possessing the good qualities (played by Kelly Donovan) and the other filled with flaws (played by Nicholas Brendon). When Netflix was the frontrunner and had a signed definitive agreement to acquire Warner Bros.' studios, HBO, and HBO Max. They publicly announced it on their corporate site (about.netflix.com) and highlighted the "renowned franchises and extensive library" they'd be getting (DC Comics, Harry Potter, Looney Tunes, etc.). The SnyderVerse was front and center when these IPs were being highlighted. There were no reported gun-jumping investigations or issues with Netflix's rollout. Netflix's approach was the safe, standard way companies handle pre-close publicity. Paramount, has also since done the same, but excluded highlighting the Zack Snyder's Justice League IP.

@RawkTalks Wrong. Paramount can’t act like the deal is done before approval. Announcing specific DC plans or hires preclose risks gun-jumping issues and legal exposure. Until it closes, WBD still controls everything.

Buffy deserves a much bigger platform than Hulu with a much bigger budget. If @netflix is interested in reviving this IP, they need to tie up the loose ends from Angel and show us how they averted the Apocalypse right from the get go. Show us who survived, who died, show us an army of slayers arriving in LA to help Team Angel and save the day. Then time jump forward to today with whatever story they wanna bring forth, but as a longtime fan of this IP, we need to know how it all went down after the credits rolled on the final chapter of the BuffyVerse.
