@fungi_lover Honestly, it is something I think students need to learn to do if they want to succeed. The syllabus is reference material, I carried all of mine with me throughout the semester but if I had questions I would refer to that first. I wish more students would understand this.

I had such an amazing experience working with TPWD over the summer learning about sonar scanning, policy, management, habitat assessment, monitoring and habitat restoration. I learned so much and I’m sad it’s over but now on the hunt for jobs and potential M.S. programs.✨

I’m excited to announce I have joined the amazing faculty at @IslandCampus as a TT Asst Prof in @lscitamucc @tamucc_cose this Fall #newPI! The Fish Movement Ecology Lab will focus on the behavioral and spatial ecology of marine animals to inform management and conservation needs.

Almost 4 weeks into my internship. From the beginning I felt like I’m in the right place. The people I have been working with have such incredible knowledge in various subjects. All amazing people and I am grateful to have this opportunity to work with them.

Over a week ago I completed my Bachelor’s degree. Not only am I a neurodivergent female in science but I am also the first in my family to take on this field. A very proud moment, but it is just the beginning!

It was such an honor to receive my research cord with those I have been closely working with over the years. (Yes, my other cord seemed to like to be out of place in pretty much every photo that was taken)

🚨TOMORROW 🚨 The one and only, inspiring, motivated, resilient, strong @EppsAshleigh from @theBahrLab is defending her thesis!!! I am beyond excited to see all of her hard work come to light. This girl has been killing it over the past two years!!!

Today was the first time back at Earth Day Bay Day since before COVID. I previously created tabling activities for @TAMUCCIGT (first photo 2019) and now with @theBahrLab (second photo 2022) to help educate the community on ways to protect our environment and reduce our waste.

So, for those who don’t know, the reason my handle for twitter is @ReachForNature is to represent my passion for outreach. I have now done outreach for about 4 years now, starting with IGT and now with Bahr Lab.

Made new friends, listened to everyone’s amazing research, met the colleagues of our mentors, and presented my first ever oral presentation to a full room! Thank you #BEM2022 for being an outstanding wrap up to my research as an undergraduate in @theBahrLab
