TBI's Director of Health Policy, Dr Charlotte Refsum, reacts to the latest @NHSEngland data on elective care and A&E wait times ⬇️ “As the latest NHS data published today shows, good progress is being made on bringing elective care waiting lists down but this process could be turbocharged with more strategic investment in digital and data. "For instance, a digital health record (DHR) - providing a single view of the patient for all clinicians - would seamlessly link community-referral pathways and allow an entirely new model of outpatient care to emerge. While a fully functional NHS App would offer allow patients to better manage their own health and offer better access to the care they need, when they need it. "We must create a health system fit for the 21st century - that should start and end with the patient - but it must be driven by data.”
