Het (ver)oordelen over mensen terwijl je ze niet kent doet 99,9% van de mensen op dagelijkse basis.

Ik begrijp dit dus echt niet! Hoe kan het dat Nederlanders dit accepteren? Waarom ligt het land niet plat? Collectieve burgerlijke ongehoorzaamheid. Malieveld vol. Protest! Etc.. Ik ben dan ook maar een dom rechtse tokkie die altijd 100 euro tankt.

@widtvoet Satire moet kunnen. Als je hier moeite mee hebt, zak je naar woke-niveau. Je kunt niet lachen om Hans Teeuwen die Halsema sloopt en dan hier ineens verontwaardigd doen. Juist nu beter een “wij zijn niet zoals jullie”-mentaliteit.

@TimePreference_ You have to assume that foreign competitors have the same labor conditions, same environmental laws and other regulation, and pay the same amount of taxes. As they (low cost countries) practically never do, some form of tariffs is not to protect but, to level the playing field.

tariffs don't protect domestic industry they protect inefficient producers at the expense of consumers every tariff is a tax on your purchasing power to subsidize businesses that can't compete

@Transvegan Belachelijk, D66 is veels te rechts. GL kan net maar die hebben ook al idealen ingeleverd. Het is goed dat jij er bent om ons op het juiste pad te houden.

Regardless of what happens in Europe and the U.S., the world is moving to EVs. There is nothing that western automakers can do to reverse this trend, and geopolitical risk in oil will only accelerate it. Either get good at EVs, or wither away.

@LichtDerRede @marcelvink888 @RobJetten Eerlijk gezegd drukte Gordon nu onnodig door, want in principe heeft Rob het er nooit over en dat siert hem. Ook BS dat die kritiek gaat over het homo zijn, hij is MP, die krijgt kritiek op alles, ook als die hetero, blank en christelijk is.

Als je voor de bocht je gas moet loslaten om op het rechte stuk hogere snelheid te kunnen halen dankzij een beter opgeladen batterij, dan heb je geen nieuwe regels gemaakt, dan heb je een oud ambacht de nek omgedraaid met een mislukte energietransitie. (Eens dus.)

Homes are also almost double in size, have poured concrete basements, have air conditioning, twice the amount of wiring, an extra bathroom, a kitchen twice the size, 2 car garages…

Er moet meer financieel gemaakt worden. Geen 30% regel, hier studeren is volle echte kosten betalen plus tolk als dat nodig is (NL voertaal), gewoon je rijbewijs halen zoals iedereen, en mogelijk dubbele zorgverzekering of tijdelijk hogere belasting (je gebruikt immers infrastructuur en faciliteiten die over decennia zijn betaald), etc.

Partly, but a big part is also a free world and a free market. You can do what you want and achieve what you "want". If couples both work they will be able to achieve more financially. Staying home means you will compromise financially. Whether that choice is good or bad is a moral question, but it is reality.

Nobody wants to say it out loud but a lot of moms REALLY don't actually want to be at work 40 hours a week. They want to be home with their kids. They were just told that wanting that makes them not successful human beings. A huge, evil lie. We convinced an entire generation of women that the most fulfilling thing they could do was sit at a desk for someone else's company while a stranger raises their kid. Oh, and if you questioned that, you were somehow anti-woman. And then we wonder why kids are anxious, medicated and are struggling in the real world. They were raised by rotating daycare staff and iPads because both parents were too exhausted from working to pay for the daycare to actually parent. I know many families that now have just made the FINANCIAL choice for one parent to stay home, just because daycares costs so much, it's not worth the other parent working. The most important job in the world is raising a stable, healthy, grounded human being. We used to believe that as a society... not sure what happened. Stay home if you can. Stay married if you can. Build something that actually lasts. Your kids will thank you for it. Your grandkids will thank you for it too ❤️

It's wild how society accepts leaving kids at daycare 40 hours a week just to commute to a job that funds the daycare, the car, and a house you're rarely in. We're basically grinding to pay for a life we barely get to experience.

African countries copy Europe’s regulatory approach, then wonder why we get European results: stagnation, when not flat-out decline. Stop copying their mistakes. Copy what worked before they regulated themselves into increasing irrelevance.

Als @F1 qua racen zo blijft als het nu is, en ik zie niet in hoe dat in godsnaam verandert met deze ‘regulations’ en nieuwe auto’s, haak ik ook af. Heb sinds 2016/17 bijna elke race in F1 gevolgd, maar nu hebben we te maken met ‘overtakes’ die overfakes zijn geworden.
