@WorldwideLakers He's an INCREDIBLE shooter. That said, we'll have ZERO problems scoring the ball. He plays ZERO defense and is not the sharpest tool in the shed. We need a more athletic and defensive-minded player. Appreciate Rui, but I'm happy he's gone.

This is a staggering overpay by the Lakers, like just a terrifying price at least in terms of the draft capital sent out.. like it just feels like the Jazz walked away with gold. Luka will be in year 13 and 15 respectively in '31 and '33 btw
the on court fit is nice though. Kessler gives them elite, elite rim protection. Putting a true 7 footer who can anchor a defense next to their core completely changes the Lakers' defensive geometry. In 2025 he actually did fairly well on a per poss basis against some of the best bigs in the league
I just can't get over the price and what the Lakers have given up, just wow
