With very rare exceptions, Obesity is a NOT genetic Type 2 diabetes is NOT genetic Hypertension is NOT genetic Cancer is NOT genetic Autoimmune diseases are NOT genetic Our genes have been the same for thousands of years, long before any of these diseases became common. What changed is our food environment. Most of the food consumed by kids and adults is simply a toxic concoction of chemicals and ultra processed junk causing the chronic disease epidemic. The solution is simple, but it will lead to Big Food and Big Pharma bankruptcies if people only ate real whole food. And if people become generally healthy, the healthcare industry would collapse due to the lack of demand.

Conventional eggs come from chickens fed corn and soy… and a feed that is significantly higher in the 18 carbon polyunsaturated fat linoleic acid (18:2 n-6) than what wild chickens would eat. This leads to higher levels of linoleic acid in conventional chicken eggs than what is found in wild chicken eggs (PMID: 18442246). Consuming higher amounts of linoleic acid has been shown to increase oxidation of LDL particles in multiple experiments, so it’s not terribly surprising that eating conventionally raised eggs would do the same thing (PMID: 8432867, 14739118, 22959954, 10452406) But all hope is not lost for egg lovers! In this study, a team of researchers in Israel fed chickens a feed with lower amounts of linoleic acid, more monounsaturated fats, and more vitamin E/carotenoids… They found that when humans ate these lower PUFA eggs, their LDL was less susceptible to oxidation. What are the takeaways here? Eating excess amounts of linoleic acid -most commonly from seed oils-(best estimates are that we ate around 2% of our calories as LA as hunter gatherers based on living tribes today) puts you at an increased risk of cardiovascular disease by leading to increased oxidized LDL (and increased Lp(a)). If you eat eggs, opt for corn and soy free pasture raised, regenerative even better, raising your own chickens has got to be the best.

Eating EGGS leads to increased HEART DISEASE risk = increased LDL oxidation! But there’s more to the story here… All hope is not lost for egg lovers! Keep reading to learn what you should do⬇️

@foundmyfitness Makes sense. Is there any detail in whether it’s cardio vs. Resistance training vs. Doing both?

Intensive exercise, which generates a high degree of shear stress, destroys circulating tumor cells. As a quirk of cancer cell biology, many types of metastatic cancer cells are vulnerable to shear stress created by blood flow itself. However, it's important to recognize that not all cancer cells are equally sensitive to mechanical stress. On the other hand, this isn't the only aspect of exercise that acts as a tool to hamper cancer cells. Even when focusing solely on the vascular system, exercise contributes to tumor vessel normalization. This can enhance the effectiveness of therapeutics by improving their access to tumors, illustrating how exercise can be a complementary therapeutic strategy even alongside other treatments. Nor is exercise a perfect solution: very active people do sometimes get cancer, obviously. But, for many of us, the fact that exercise can help and also be a tool of prevention can be a very empowering message.

The shear force of blood flow generated from aerobic exercise literally KILLS circulating tumor cells Just another benefit of exercise to add to the list
