Pashinyan's guards punch an 18-year-old boy in a church. And these are the same people who ask, "How can you possibly justify this?" That question is for you - the ones who beat children in churches, who drag the parents of fallen soldiers across the floor, who spit in people's faces in the city center, who curse and threaten to "cut off ears" and "smear on the asphalt"... Lowly, street-level people who have turned our republic into a daily disgrace.

@sero_serg @melikofararat I’m not Armenian, but I’ve got some Armenian heritage too, and I do regret that the UK isn’t helping Armenia as much as it could.

@RedFoxTruth @melikofararat You’re not even Armenian. The last time Armenians asked your people for help, your response was “our ships can’t reach your mountains”. Now all of a sudden, because you see an opportunity to mess with Russia, you care?

This guy clearly has no idea what he's talking about. I didn't even bother reading the rest of his nonsense after he claimed the dram would disappear. EU member states aren't obliged to adopt the euro. He's obviously just parroting the Kremlin line.
Dr. Arthur Khachikyan@dr_khachikyan

The slogan "Armenia is Europe" is broadcast from every corner as a guarantee of wealth and prosperity. But have you ever considered the real price we will have to pay for this one-way ticket? Behind the beautiful slogans hides an economic disaster. I am Arthur Khachikyan, and in this video, I take off the rose-colored glasses to show -using dry numbers and laws—how political populism is destroying the foundation of our economy. In this video, we will analyze in detail: - Where our national currency, the dram, will disappear to, and why transitioning to the euro will make everyday life unbearably expensive for ordinary people. - How European standards and strict quotas will wipe out the Armenian farmer and put an end to our agriculture. - Why the myth of "European billions" is nothing but a beautiful facade masking debt slavery. - The energy trap: how much we will actually pay for gas if we cut old ties for the sake of new illusions. We are ready to sacrifice our sovereignty and economy just to become a pawn in someone else's geopolitical game. And the most terrifying part is that our children will be the ones paying the price for this populism. How are we being driven into an economic catastrophe to the applause of the "European dream", and why do we need the Swiss model of partnership instead of blind submission? @Minassian24 @melikofararat Armenia is an independent sovereign state, and the era when its leaders needed Kremlin approval to govern is over. Besides, Russia has largely lost its influence in the region and yielded it to Turkey.

Armenians are not opposed to good relations with the West. But Armenia’s geography is what it is. We must also maintain good relations with Russia and Iran. We cannot change our neighbors, and we do not have the luxury of living as an island power, insulated from the realities around us. There is nothing anti Russian or anti Western in saying that Armenia’s government must be pro Armenian. That is the core issue. The present regime is not acting in Armenia’s interest, and foreign voices do not have the right to dictate what Armenians should do in their own country. If the goal is for Armenia to survive and prosper, then no serious person should oppose balanced relations with all major powers, especially with the largest nuclear power in the world. Armenia cannot afford to become anyone’s puppet. It must act as a state that serves its own national interest.

@Minassian24 @melikofararat I agree that Armenia should maintain relations with Russia, Iran, China and others, not just the EU and the US. However, it should also build ties with Turkey and Azerbaijan — after all, unlike Russia, they are direct neighbours, just like Georgia or Iran.

@Minassian24 @melikofararat In my view, Armenia should continue with its European integration, which was launched through legislation initiated by the Armenian people themselves, rather than by Pashinyan's party.

🗳️🇦🇲💰Vote-buying scheme in Armenia The Anti-Corruption Committee of #Armenia has published materials exposing a scheme involving pre-election bribery. Here is part of the scheme: a public organization called “Mer Dzevov” (a predecessor of the “#StrongArmenia” party) was set up, where people were formally hired, assigned salaries of 150,000–180,000 drams (about $400–470), but did not actually go to work. According to released recordings of phone conversations, these payments were intended to secure votes for the “Strong Armenia” party associated with #Russia'n billionaire #SamvelKarapetyan (Tashir Samo). youtu.be/D7wM62KSMog?si… #ArmeniaElections #SouthCaucasus #corruption

Before Putin forced him to go to Armenia as part of the so-called ‘Ivanishvili 2’ project and speak out against Pashinyan, Karapetyan had never been involved in politics and had never criticised the Armenian authorities - including Pashinyan’s government.

Even if Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Committee had said nothing at all, everyone would still understand that Tashir Samo intends to buy votes and resort to other manipulative tactics straight out of the Kremlin’s playbook. #Armenia #MerDzevovPuppet

Russian oligarch Samvel Karapetyan’s political force was caught bribing Armenian voters for the upcoming parliamentary elections. Yet another vivid example of how they imagine getting elected and running the country.

But when I learned that Russia’s FSB was forcing Armenian businessmen in Russia to speak out against Pashinyan under threat of having their businesses seized and facing prison sentences, I even found myself feeling a bit sorry for Karapetyan and the other puppets.

@melikofararat In Western media and films, Russia is constantly shown as some great power. But having actually been there, I can tell you it’s really just a developing country with nukes that’s way behind. Outside Moscow and St Petersburg, it’s mostly poverty.

@melikofararat Some Armenians live comfortably in the West but still think Armenia should be Russia's puppet. They should try actually moving to Russia first, see for themselves how badly Armenians get treated over there - and only after that come and tell us what they think.

@AykazMassis 2. Armenians are far older and possess a culture entirely distinct from that of the Russians. Armenian civilisation lies at the very roots of European civilisation, whereas Russian culture cannot be considered fully European.

@AykazMassis 1. The same religion? The Russian Orthodox Church considers the Armenian Apostolic Church a sect and Armenians to be heretics. I would suggest researching the issue more thoroughly before making such claims.

@Malvinas__2032 And for the record, my position is pro-European, not pro-American. I do not support the actions of the United States and Israel against Iran. But I also oppose Iran’s current totalitarian regime, which has killed more of its own protesters than were killed in those attacks.

@RedFoxTruth And you are pro west/USA who invaded other countries and killed millions of people under false condition? As we speak they carry out a illegal war against Iran.. they are as bad as Russians, if not, much worse

@Malvinas__2032 How can anyone compare Russia - which has occupied several regions of Ukraine, kills civilians, and has carried out massacres like the one in Bucha - with the United States? Russians have killed more civilians than the US has in its entire history.
