JPG Store did more for the Cardano NFT space than arguably any other project 💯 They built the first real smart contract for NFTs and replaced the cnftio system with something that actually worked. This is a HUGE blow to the space, but it points to a BIGGER issue the community needs to sit with. Businesses need users and revenue to survive. For years, most Cardano projects have been burning cash with no sustainable model. A lot of the projects still standing are only standing because of Catalyst grants, treasury withdrawals, and builder DAO injections. Very FEW are actually profitable. At some point the money runs out. I know this firsthand (I have lost everything). At this point the chain is basically a Catalyst ponzi in the 4th quarter holding up the remaining ecosystem outside of a select few that can stand on their own (like strike). People can point fingers all they want, but anyone who has actually run a business knows that macro conditions on Cardano hit Cardano businesses hard (I dont get how people cant understand this). When your user base and revenue have dropped 99%, there are only so many moves available to you as an operator. It's like trying to sell newspapers in 2026 😂 If Cardano keeps failing to attract new users and give people a real reason to be on the chain, JPG will not be the last domino. Good tech does not equal adoption. That's a lesson this community keeps having to relearn. I haven't been as active on the blockchain side lately since I've been deep in AI, but Cardano will always have a place in my heart. It's where JellyCubes was born and where it still lives. I hope to see a real turnaround as someone who dedicated +5 years of my life to it. At this point though my last remaining hope for the chain is @pondora_org (launching Sailfish within the next week or so). If any project can bring cross-chain users onto Cardano its going to be them. If Pondora fails, I see nothing ahead but a continued unsustainable burn on the treasury until it's wiped out and every subsidized project raising the white flag. No paid promo
