Pomni was able to conjure things as soon as she got into the circus. Which is why Caine was intently trying to convince Pomni it wasn't real. He doesn't want the others to know that they can have control if they concentrate. Also being why she left her with Kaufmo. To demotivate.

@JustPotatoNow -Whether we like it or not, all we are now is a bunch of cartoon characters. So what's the point of pretending we're not? -We're still people though, right? -I thought we were at first, but as time goes on, we just end up falling into our archetypes. Become part of the machine.

I thought it was pretty clear that Jax freaks out here because he realizes this adventure is real unlike the last escape episode. Everyone saying he thought the circus wasn't real is making me feel insane.
