@kiltullaghfarm @galwayfarm They can see a big shortage coming I think towards the back end of the year. They are driving prices down now to knock the prices of stores in marts to be able to fill feedlots cheaply. Delaying kill stretching the beef that’s there to fill this gap as long as they can.

@galwayfarm Was told it’ll keep going down too. Saying that UK is flooded with cheap South American beef and it’s having a massive impact on the beef that were exporting there

@Farmeroutwest happy days so. Ya that’s the question. All down to the cost of keeping them for the winter. Have you got an extra €300/head for keeping them over selling after they were weaned? Needs to be over that id say to justify keeping them minimum.

@kieran_kigr One of them days yesterday ….cow calved before milking yesterday am ,cow up …calf up .went in after milking to check on them ,cow chocked on cleanings …fell over on calf ,lost both 😩😩
