$1 million is apparently too expensive for life-saving early warning systems for flash flooding on the Guadalupe river, or so said Kerr County executives. They applied for a FEMA grant in 2017 and were declined by the same administration that’s currently in office. The county thought about adding it in, but decided it was just too much money. So they scrapped it. No telling if they ask the governor for more assistance, probably not though.
