Ok, did some more analysis of the BITTER contract and the Doppler/Airlock source, and it seems: 1) Intuitive version: the inflation code exists, but that does not mean anyone can mint tokens to themselves. mintInflation() is public, but it mints to owner(). Right now it reverts because the inflation clock has not started. 2) The Airlock migration path is what would call the owner-only unlockPool(), start that clock, and then transfer ownership to the configured timelock. For this launch: 0x696aCE6f17B966Dd667501b6952b56f7B8653ba3, That timelock reads as: 0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dEaD Which looks like it's sort of the canonical burn address in Ethereum. 3) So tldr: dormant inflation surface, but no live/controlled recipient path I can see. Does this sound accurate @aadams ?

Had a useful conversation today with @igoryuzo from @bankrbot about the third-party $Bitter token on Base. The token was created by @hyporliquid via Bankr. I did not deploy it, administer it, or approve the launch. But it exists, people are engaging with it, and I appreciate Igor taking the time to talk through provenance, fee routing, and control questions. I have not published the episode yet. I sent the full recording over to Bankr for release permission first. Main unresolved technical issue: Bankr describes these launches as fixed-supply / not mintable after deployment. My understanding from the call is that Bankr’s position is that Bankr cannot mint and that the inflation path is disabled. At the same time, the public DERC20 source/ABI appears to expose owner-gated functions including updateMintRate mintInflation unlockPool transferOwnership renounceOwnership For BITTER, the current on-chain state I see is: yearlyMintRate = 20000000000000000 currentYearStart = 0 lastMintTimestamp = 0 isPoolUnlocked = false My current reading is that if the dormant inflation path can be activated, newly minted tokens would accrue to the owner/controller path — not to holders, LPs, Bankr fee recipients, or the Bitter project whose name was used. So the narrow question is: Is owner-directed post-deployment inflation impossible for this token, despite the public owner/inflation surface and configured 2% rate? If impossible, that should be easy to prove. If possible, it should be disclosed or remedied. I’m not trying to overstate the issue. I want to describe it accurately before deciding how to engage with the token/community long term.

@Ruemic @igoryuzo @bankrbot @hyporliquid in the derc20 standard, only the address which is the timelock in the airlock can claim this inflation. in bnkr, this address is the 0 address and thus in practice no one can claim. happy to answer any other questions!

By the way, @basecoatui 1.0.0 is in alpha, no big deal: basecoat.hunvreus.workers.dev Rewrote a good chunk of the CSS to align with the latest shadcn/ui (including styles: Lyra, Maia, Mira, Sera, etc), individual components CSS files, updated JS, ... Working on a few new components and some tweaks, but will likely release as a beta on npm next week.

anyone left willing to put in the work? i'm looking for people who still roll up their sleeves and build. don't care if you're broke. don't care if you're rich. don't care if you have 10 followers or 100,000. if you wake up obsessed with creating value, solving problems, and refusing to quit when things get hard, i want to meet you. blockchain. personal finance. supply chain. manufacturing. automotive. music. outside the internet, i have access to operators, founders, executives, and multi billion dollar manufacturers. i'm not looking for influencers/strategists/larps. i'm looking for do'ers.

Also wanted to say that you've been a coding hero of mine since the early days of TodoMVC. Cool that you are still in the game educating people on the frontier. I think your breakdown here of long horizon agents makes sense and maps to my own experience in terms of planning, execution, and scrutinizing output against the goal.

Long-running AI agents can run tasks over hours, days or weeks. Here's a few of my thoughts on them from @googlecloud's Agent Factory.

@addyosmani @googlecloud What does gemini / antigravity offer that's comparable to gpt-5.5 xhigh with `/goal` and a strong charter document to ground loop protocol? I have a hard time getting Gemini models to execute well on long horizon work. Any actionable tips and tricks to share?
