We’re in a cluster alongside the clubs currently sat 1st-3rd. Although they’re 3 of the top 4 scorers where as we’re joint 13. Over the course of the season we’ve had the ball close to the goal a lot. It’s very promising. The foundations are laid. Final piece needed. #SAFC 📊📈

@SebC__ Hasn’t really been any names mentioned as they stated it would be a summer decision. I’m torn between a young trendy coach or a ‘gaffer’ type. (Yes I’m sitting on the fence) 🤣

@SebC__ We’ve kept adding to the squad but now there’s a big summer ahead of squad building towards fixing the starting XI with signings and the new head coach.

@Gerry_McGregor Expected goals. Basically the likeliness of a shot going into the net based on a large sample size of similar shots. So you want a high xG. But you want the opponent to have a low xG.

The last time we scored 2 goals away from home was against Sheffield Wednesday - 29th September 2023 (13 games ago). Stoke are the only other side to have not scored twice away from home in 2024. Their record only stretches back to 26th December. Let’s do it on Saturday. #SAFC

@LRosssseee Might be a bit of a flawed logic but if you take away his goals then we’d have lost these points against: 2 v Blackburn 2 v Norwich 1 v Millwall 2 v Hull 1 v Rotherham 1 v Middlesbrough Doesn’t really cover games that he’s put us 1-0 up in for example which is also important.

@LRosssseee His Goals & Assists have won us 9 points this season.

@siousxiethedog This explains it slightly. Dieng was unlucky to have screamers go in against him on a weekly basis at the start of the season if I remember correctly.

Must say I’m not a big fan of prevented goals as a metric. PSxG is far greater to use for goalkeepers but wyscout doesn’t collect that type of data.

@swainy997 Not sure on the record but we managed 15 defeats in a row at the end of the 02/03 season.
