We are delighted to welcome our new Deputy Mayor, Councillor Helen Mallory and her daughter Lucy as Deputy Mayoress. They are looking forward to working with us during the coming months to support the borough community’s many worthwhile events and good causes.

Ahead of #ArmedForcesDay we paid tribute and said thank you to our Armed Forces at a special ceremony in the Town Hall gardens this week, during which the Armed Forces Day flag was raised. On behalf of the borough I was proud to receive the @HMSDuncan Coat of Arms.

Today we made history! For the first time in living memory the Mayor awarded Commendations to residents of the Borough to recognise their community spirit and civic pride during the covid 19 pandemic. Congratulations to all who received their well deserved awards.

I have fond memories of The Duke of Edinburgh’s visit to the borough in 2010, when he attended the official opening of @ScarboroughOAT with Her Majesty The Queen. A wonderful day was had by all who attended and the Royal couple certainly seemed to enjoy the fantastic (3/4)
