My new neighbors want me to cut down 5 HUGE, healthy trees on MY property so THEY can get solar. Am I the bad guy here? We've lived on our 2.5 acres for over a decade. These massive trees along the back give us privacy from 4 homes. New neighbors move in, and suddenly a solar company contacts US, saying 5 huge trees need to come down for THEIR panels. Not just trim, but clear 100 feet of wooded area. They offered gift cards, even to plant tiny saplings, but that doesn't fix our privacy.
