@cca_keyspin @jesx64 That would be a thanks no thanks for me. If I’m doing work for someone else clearly outside the business hours and not using business resources, they may *want* to own my work but sorry that’s not reasonable. Push back. I bet a lawyer somewhere said “try it, see what he says.”

so apparently if you work for a company they own all your code and everything you publish? even if done on your own time? that sucks

In addition if you pull out now you’ll miss out when it rebounds in 97 days. How do I know it will? I’m psychic. Just like you are when you lament the future of your money. STOP PANICKING. Markets go up and down; you’re in it for the long haul.

More and more people are considering pulling out of their 401k due to the market drop. Just a reminder: Withdrawing from your 401k early comes with a mandatory 20% tax withholding, and a 10% penalty. Not the best idea.

Elon bought Twitter for $44B, and sold it to his own company for $33B. He can write-off that $11B loss on his taxes. Teachers can only write-off up to $300 worth of their school supplies on their taxes. This is what a tax code written to benefit oligarchs looks like.

@improvyzer @JMayer71683 @atrupar Exactly. The due process determines if they are here illegally. That’s literally what it’s for. If you’re an American citizen, you’re not here illegally. Some of these guys are American citizens. Some are legal immigrants. Some are picked up simply because they have melanin.

@JMayer71683 @atrupar "Due process for what? They are here illegally." How do you know they are here illegally if you don't give them due process?

Brian Kilmeade calls for the end of due process: "It's not practical to think we can do due process on 8 million people ... if we're gonna give every one of these guys a day in a court and a lawyer, we can't do it. They don't deserve it."

Well, guess who has prostate cancer? Yep, me. Short version, I have stage 3 prostate cancer. I'm about to start a 2 year hormone therapy which blocks my production of testosterone. In three months I will begin a six week daily radiation therapy. They found definite signs of cancer on my prostate via biopsy and MRI. Other factors (primarily my super high PSA) seems to indicate it is trying to or is spreading to my lymph nodes. The hormone I'll be taking stops my production of testosterone. This can lead to: Lethargy. Nausea. Weight gain. Hot flashes, difficulty in controlling body temperature. (Potentially) some brain fog or memory issues. Being more emotional. Frequent and urgent need for "bio" breaks. By doing hormones for three months first, it will help shrink my prostate and make the radiation more effective. However during the radiation it may amplify some of the issues I listed above. That should only last for the six weeks I'm getting blasted with radiation. Still hoping it triggers something and I turn into a super hero. Best of all I get to enjoy the hormone effects for two [explicatives deleted] years. On the bright side, even at Stage 3 he said I wind up with a 99 success rate by using the hormone / radiation combo. He did say that exercise is one of the best ways to combat a lot of the symptoms, and that after 1,134 continuous days of exercise my body has become accustomed to it, which is good. However he also stated I'll have to really push myself to get through a workout. Weight lifting he said is especially good, which I do (and honestly is my favorite). Well no need for pity or anything, I fully intend to kick cancer's ass. I'll just feel like crap for a few years. And a reminder guys, get your prostates checked. Catching it early like I did is what leads to a good result. And ladies, breast cancer is real too so get your checkups!

@pizzahut Is it common to have a raw sewage smell in your restaurants? The one in my town Brookhaven MS has smelled nasty for at least 6 months. It’s coming from the bathroom but permeates the dining area. How does that continue for so long?

Sure it made the visit seamless and fast, but now imagine someone hacks the databases with that info - they can hack into any network served by that ISP. What kind of controls exist to prevent that kind of breach? Is there some third party auditing of ISPs? #security

Interesting lesson in home WiFi security: My ISP is able to connect to my home network at will, even if I change the passwords. They provided the initial WiFi pods months ago and they were able to add one from their truck today before even coming inside. That takes a lot of trust

@BuckWoodyMSFT 3x laptops running proxmox, about 20 VMs (Ubuntu/Windows/TrueNAS) on them. One more laptop running windows to access them all. Maybe 6TB SSD, 30 TB spinning for backups.

@kenjimallon Anytime I hear that phrase I don’t think of it as “this will be over soon, just hold on” but instead “ I done told you what’s gon’ happen, now sit down and watch.” And I think that’s how biblical references intended it. And don’t even get me started on “it is what it is.” :)
