This account was falsely detected as a bot by twitter's lovely 'algorithm' and turned off mid summer. It's just ow (Dec 7) been turned back on. The new account, which I think I'll keep using is @SwiProlog_

At first, the question "Why there's no life on the surface of the atomic nucleus?" seems stupid. But think about it. What's the difference between the surface of the Earth and the surface of a nucleus?

@satnam6502 @roydanroy @SwiProlog_ can be a great first language! We've been taught to any number of 'non-programmers' with good results (honestly, it's easier if they don't know an imperative language first).

@roydanroy I'm proud of her no matter what language she uses! Python is today what BBC BASIC was to me when I was learning to program a long time ago.

My daughter has told me excitedly about a SAT solver she has just written in Python. Parenthood has prepared me for mixed emotions, but this has truly left me conflicted.
